Where did the name come from? It came from a picture I drew on a pair of canvas shoes in high school. PLAID WORLD was a symbol for world peace. If nothing else, it should be easily remembered. How old is PWS? PWS was started in the summer of 95. It consists of a consortium of freelance artists working primarily over the internet. At this time, most of them have never met face to face. What are PWS's goals? 1. PWS's main goal is to bring great arcade games to the Mac OS and WIN95. 2. ( NEW ) To empower the individual with free tools that allow them to make high quality games without spending 8 years to learn the necessary skills. Who are you? Andrew Davis. Chris Dillman. Cody DW Jones. Gabriel Moore. Trevor Harveaux. Jon M Gore. Unknown Source ( "I'm in trouble for everything I haven't done" ) Can I join PWS? Well, yes. If you can do art, music, sound effects, or programming, send us an email message. We may have a spot for you on one of our teams. - NOTE - Please do not send Chris a lot of art or music that he has to downloaded wiithout asking. Please write him first. What are you making next? Chris has decided, that since PWS has an extensive back log of games to finish, that the best way to do this is for him to make a highly visual game development system for non-programmers and beginning programmers to help them make 2D and 3D games for the Mac OS and WIN95. Chris would like to give the system away and require that users pay a small percentage of gross profits to PWS for any products made with Plaid World Software's development system. If you think this is a good idea, please write Chris at PWS@kagi.com. Chris wil also be setting up the PWS web sight to help people form teams to make games. PWS staff will be willing to help with some 3rd party development teams, and we will also be willing to help publish quality work that these teams develop. Stop by www.plaidworld.com in the coming months for more information.
